FAQ

HOW MUCH IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO BOOK THE PHOTOSHOOT?

The earlier the better, but you can always write for a spontaneous session and I’ll see if I can fit you in my schedule.

Which locations will we visit?

We will have a photo walk and will visit the best photo spots in the city center. I have different routes planned based on the time of the day and any individual preferences. If you have any specific ideas or wishes just let me know and I will think of the best way to bring them to reality.

WHAT’S THE BEST TIME FOR A PHOTOSHOOT?

Usually early in the morning after sunrise, or in the afternoon around 2 hours before sunset if it’s a sunny day. Also, consider the location you’ve chosen and how busy it is during the day.

How do you edit the photos?

I edit the photos in my own style (like you see on my website and social media). I usually edit only the colors, lighting, and cropping if needed. I do not alter people’s appearance, body shape, etc. I like to keep the images natural and true to the moment. I can remove however small, bothering objects or distracting blemishes and pimples. Skin smoothing on closeup portraits is also something I would usually do (unless requested not to).

DO YOU SEND ALL THE RAW, UNEDITED PHOTOS FROM THE PHOTOSHOOT?

I do not give the RAW files. Each photoshoot includes a selection (I delete any closed eyes, out-of-focus, or duplicate photos) of the best unedited photos in small jpeg (social media size, limited possibility to edit them yourself or print). You can have the best unedited photos in original size jpegs (you can edit on them or print them) for an extra fee (the price depends on the package), but you should inquire about it before the photoshoot because I usually don’t shoot in large jpegs because I don’t need them. Because I shoot on FujiFilm the unedited photos in jpeg already have a film simulation filter compared to other cameras, so they are not completely untouched, some people do love the Fujifilm effect.
Your edited photos however will be completely edited by me (no FujiFilm filter) in my editing style.

What if if rains on the day of the photoshoot?

I would usually monitor the forecast a few days before our scheduled date and keep you updated if it looks like we might need to reschedule.

The forecast in Vienna is not usually accurate and changes often, so if there is no strong indication the weather will be bad we can keep it as planned.

In the case that it rains we can reschedule if both our schedules allow. I recommend choosing a date for your photoshoot at the beginning of your trip so we will have some flexibility if the weather is not great.

Sometimes it is enough just to start later or earlier than planned to avoid rain. I am usually flexible if we need to do so due to the weather conditions.

What gear do you use?

I am a FUJIFILM lover. I currently shoot on a FUJIFILM X-T5 with prime lenses xf 35mm f1.4 and xf 56mm f1.2. Mostly I’d use the 35mm lens but for special portraits or fashion shoots I’d go with the 56mm. I absolutely love the retro feel and mood of Fuji.
